Q. What kind of people take Still Got Game classes?
A. People just like you! Still Got Game is designed for all fitness levels. Our
classes are made up of all different shapes and sizes and ages. Our class ratio
of men to woman is about 50:50 depending on the class time. You do not have to be
an athlete or in great shape to start. Everyone can challenge themselves at their
own level, set individualized goals and is pushed at his/her own level and potential.
Q. Do I have to have previous basketball experience to attend a Still Got Game class?
A. No, many of our members have never touched a basketball. Still Got Game allows
you to work at your own level and pace.
Q. What is I already know the game, will Still Got Game help me improve my skills?
A. Each class is coached by former NBA player Anthony Bowie. He combines his years
of experience and knowledge to show you skills that will improve your shooting,
dribbling and overall game.
Q. What is a typical workout like?
A. Class will start with a warm up that will prepare your joints and muscles for
dynamic movements. You will then go through a series of exercises that will work
on core strength, balance, coordination and speed. You will be performing many of
the same training drills that are used in the NBA. Of course at your level!!
Q. What if I can't perform a certain exercise?
A. We will show you modifications and alternative exercises to strengthen your body
so that you will be able to condition the weak area.
Q. What kind of results can I expect?
A. You will experience a range of benefits such as weight loss, decrease in clothes
size, reduction in body fat, increase in strength, increased self confidence, team
building with classmates, increased basketball skills, and learning to have fun
while keeping fit.
Q. What other benefits does SGG provide besides an intense workout?
A. You will enjoy the combination of personal attention and social interaction from
class. Also, people who exercise regularly are happier, healthier and live longer.
Exercise helps prevent heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, arthritis
and cancer. Exercise has also proven to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and
increase energy and stamina.
